I was sat in the offices of Swingers.ie earlier this week, having my coffee, and randomly checking out the latest crap that was on the internet. It was then that I stumbled upon this rather insane story coming from Holland, where it seems that jokers have swapped a normal traffic sign for one that says it is banning gay sex in the area.
Now it has to be said, I really did have to take a second to see that this is real, and not one of those fake stories which you find on the web every day, but no, it all seems very real, and very funny!
The picture, which is done in the style of a road sign, and placed over a real one, features a guy bending over another fella, in a traditional homosexual pose. It is accompanied with a warning which says 'no gay sex'.
The incident took place up in a forest at Caitwickerzand near Kootwijk. Apparently this area is extremely popular with members of the gay dogging scene (which also answers the question as to whether it was put up by straight doggers who may not be too fond of gay doggers coming round expecting action with them)

Apparently, the real sign is there to warn drivers to keep away from the area at night so not to avoid spooking animals. God only knows what the animals will think when they are confronted with cars AND a load of horny doggers going at it like rabbits (pun intended)
To give Dutch authorities all due credit, they seem to have taken it all in really good humour. Their local version of the Forestry Commission stated.
"We can really appreciate the humour and we laughed about it.
"But it remains an official traffic sign with crucial information"
This is why I love the Netherlands so much. Here in Ireland, you would have campaign groups kicking off and basically being a bunch of killjoy's. Their sole purpose in life would be to get the area full of policeman to stop the sexy antics going on (meanwhile, your house is being burgled because the police are spending more time after doggers than dealing with real crime) At least in Holland, everyone seems to be taking this all in really good spirits. One suspects that even the doggers had a right good chuckle about it.
Swingers.ie would like to give a big thumbs up to all concerned over this incident. It certainly has brought a smile to all our faces.
