Are you looking for some summer fun next year? Well, I think we might have something for you. A boat will be setting sail, where clothing is optional, in an attempt to attract British swingers. It is like a new, extra naughty version of 'The Love Boat', that truly terrible TV show from the 80's. If you don't remember it, then I really must be showing my age.

Join the Fun

It is the brainchild of 'The Original Group', who run the Desire resorts in Cancun. They officially launched the 'Venice Foreplay Cruise' at the London World Travel Market this week in an effort to encourage British swingers to join the cruise, starting in August 2017.

"So far, we've sold about 35% of the cabins, mainly to American couples. We're coming to the UK in an effort to get more British and Europeans swingers to sign up," said Mario Cruz, the cruise's concept manager.

Though clothes are optional, it seems any sexual encounters will need to happen away from public spaces.

"You will not see people having sex all over the ship. Those who want to experiment can either do so in the privacy of their stateroom, or we have special playrooms on board where couples can be more intimate," said Cruz.

"The rest of the areas will be clothing optional, so when passengers are in the pool or on the sundeck, they can take the option of whether to be nude or not. People then do not feel obligated."

It isn't just sex that will be taking place though. Travellers will be able to attend events that include fancy undress parties, a 'Naughty Nautical' party and a masquerade ball.

Privacy Respected

To protect people's privacy, as is the way in all swingers clubs, filming will be banned, and all land excursions will have to be full clothed.

Cruise writer Dave Monk, of, said: "It's a great itinerary, starting from the beautiful port of Venice and stopping at incredible places, including the ancient city of Dubrovnik in Croatia – but somehow I think the passengers on this trip will be more interested in the activities on board. It certainly makes a change from shuffleboard and games of bridge!

"Britons are getting more adventurous with cruise holidays, heading to Antarctica and the Amazon as well as the Med and Caribbean, but it will be interesting to see how many are persuaded to abandon their clothes and inhibitions for a swingers' voyage."

But how much does it cost, I hear you ask? Well, it will cost you £2,250 for an interior stateroom, for a week long cruise. Not cheap, but when are cruises ever cheap? If you look at it that way, it is a pretty good deal.

So what are you waiting for? Go check it out!
